Today Nikon announced two new DSLR bodies and two lenses. The D300 has been upgraded with video and a few more improvements and is now the D300S. They then released a new entry level D3000 DSLR body.
Along with the new bodies, Nikon announced improved versions of the Nikkor 70-200 and 18-200 lenses, now with VRII. Here are Nikon’s official announcements:

This is the second year I have attended the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk. This one in Portland, Oregon was led by photographer and friend of mine, Scott Bourne. We shot primarily at the Forestry Center, Oregon Zoo, Japanese Garden, and Washington Park’s International Rose Garden.
