Nikon just announced their new line of COOLPIX point and shoot digital cameras.  Some of the specs are staggering.  the COOLPIX S60 boasts a 3.5-inch touch-screen LCD!  And to compete with Canon, Nikon finally released the G9 killer called the P6000 which features a 14 megapixel sensor, built-in GPS, fully programmable and manual modes, and NEF (RAW) format support.  For complete details about all cameras released, check out the Nikon Press Releases on our Cadco Photography blog.

MobileMe

Apple released an upgrade to iTunes in preparation for the launch of the iPhone 3G set to be available tomorrow morning at 8:00am.  The new version of iTunes (v7.7) now sports the AppStore where you can download and purchase applications for the iPhone.  

Moreover, at any moment, the updated firmware for first generation iPhones is set to be released (v2.0).  Apple also today launched the new .Mac service renamed MobileMe.  To visit any of these mentioned technologies, follow the hyperlinks.

Its not Tuesday, but Apple released a new wireless base station today.  The AirPort Express is now available in the “n” flavor.  You can share a printer wirelessly via USB, stream audio wirelessly via the audio mini jack (both analog and optical), setup a WiFi network when traveling, or extend the range of your existing wireless network.   All at the faster 802.11n speeds.  For more details, check out AirPort Express at Apple’s site
